Supported Audio Formats by SoundSend
Q: Does SoundSend offer support for DTS-formatted audio?
A: SoundSend does not support DTS-formatted audio at this time. SoundSend supports PCM stereo, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, and Dolby Atmos with up to 8 channels of audio, through HDMI 2.0 and 2.1 using your TV's ARC/eARC. It also supports up to Dolby Digital over its optical input. There are many setups available with SoundSend that can create an amazing sound stage. (See Article Speaker Configurations)
Q: Can I stream Bluetooth audio to SoundSend?
A: SoundSend is Bluetooth enabled only for the free Wifi App for android and iOS and is only used to control the SoundSend settings and functions.
If you can stream or cast it through another App, or the App you are currently using to the TV, then SoundSend will play it.
Most smart TVs have applications for the same services you use on your phone like Spotify, YouTube, Pandora etc. For instance, in Spotify you can connect to your smart TV and cast whatever you are playing on your mobile device account to it. Once connected you can control what's playing from your phone, but the SoundSend will be playing the music from your TV output. This is a scenario where SoundSend will work through your TV with your mobile device.
